This non-credit opportunity provides students with targeted assignment support in core content areas with core content teachers.
Math or Literacy Study Hall
Grade Level Placement: 09, 10, 11, 12
NO CREDIT Prerequisite: Teacher/Administrator/Counselor recommendation
Offered Both Semesters / Not to be Substituted for Math, English or Elective Credit
This non-credit support course is designed to provide students an opportunity to work on their math or literacy skills with an instructor and peers. The students will have time to ask questions and receive support on their assignments. The teacher may do some pre-teaching or re-teaching of the content as needed.
Office Aide/Library Aide
Grade Level Placement: 12
NO CREDIT Prerequisite: Approval of principal and on track for graduation
This non-credit course provides students with an opportunity to work as an aide at the high school level. Each student may participate in performing clerical tasks, running errands, and helping in the office, guidance office, or media center. Candidates cannot have any deficiencies in required courses, must have exhibited good school citizenship, and have the willingness to help.
Sustainability Aide
Grade Level Placement: 11, 12 or teacher approval
NO CREDIT Prerequisite: Approval of principal and on track for graduation
This opportunity is intended for students interested in participating in district and building wide sustainability initiatives. Students apply their knowledge and participate in projects to help them deepen their understanding of environmental processes and being stewards of the earth. This non-credit class is ideal for the involved, motivated student who wants to participate in sustainability activities, but is not available after school. Candidates must exhibit good school citizenship.
Teacher Aide
Grade Level Placement: 11, 12
NO CREDIT Prerequisite: Instructor approval
This opportunity allows serious students to explore the teaching methods needed to work in teaching. With the permission of the cooperating teacher, students choose to work for a semester or more with a teacher in their classroom as an aide. Students are assigned a teacher who places them in courses to work as “Mentors/Tutors". In some cases, students might have the opportunity to lead mini-lessons. Students help other students develop skills in their assigned curriculum area while strengthening their own skills related to the subject and class where they are working. This course has select openings and times that change with the instructor’s needs and student capabilities. Instructor approval is required for all Teacher Aide opportunities.
Tech Aide
Grade Level Placement: 09, 10, 11, 12
NO CREDIT Prerequisite: Technology department approval
This non-credit opportunity allows students to work as an aide at the high school technology help desk. These students utilize information technology to perform tasks to aid in the ongoing support of teachers and students. Students also provide assistance for all or any technology needs of the MRH School District.
Study Hall 9/10 & 11/12

This non-credit opportunity allows students to work on assignments at school under the supervision of a teacher.
