Dear Students and Parents,

This 2024-2025 MRH High School course guide is a planning book developed to help students reach their occupational, educational and personal goals.  A student’s plan for graduation begins in the 8th grade and ends with post-secondary plans whether it is college, career, or in the military.  It is our hope, that you will begin to discover your passion during your tenure with us, which will lead to your future career of choice.

The course guide notes the Missouri graduation requirements for all students.  You will also notice many of our previous course offerings added back and new courses listed that will expand student opportunities to achieve more than just college credit or a certificate from South County Technical High School.  A plan can now be created that allows students to earn an Associate’s Degree through the Early College Program with St. Louis Community College, Computer Science Pathway and Business Pathway certifications through Project Lead the Way (PLTW), and on the job training experience through our advancing apprenticeship program and more.

After combining through the information in this guide and advice received from teachers, counselors and administrators, decisions about courses that provide students with the education they need for their future plans, are made.  Students and parents are encouraged to use this guide as a reference throughout the school year. We encourage students and families to develop a four-year academic plan to guide students toward their post-graduation and career goals.  It is important to select courses very carefully in the beginning of the high school career to fulfill that initial plan.  Each year, the plan should be reviewed and adjusted to fit the current needs of the student.

Although the MRH High School’s course guide has fairly definitive explanations of each course approved for offering, questions often arise about course content or graduation requirements.  You are not alone on this journey and we have many qualified adults anxious to support you in this process. Please do not hesitate to discuss any questions you may have with your counselors or your principals. We are here to offer as much support as you may need.  If you have any questions about courses or scheduling, give us a call at 446-3800.
