General Course Information

The Senior Seminar Faculty is available to guide you with your project. Please feel free to ask them questions if you have an issue.

In addition to researching, writing and preparing your project there will be assignments given to help prepare you for your final presentation and your life after Mashpee High School. You will have homework. You will receive a letter grade each term

Homework will include:

  • Weekly Reflection Reports (R2s)
  • Supplementary Assignments
  • Quarterly Notebook Evaluation
  • Quarterly Project Evaluation
  • Quarterly Mentor Projects

Your Term Grade will be based on the following categories:

Project Work: 30%

Graded Work: 30%

Teacher Observation: 10%

Portfolio w/ Self Evaluation: 20%

Mentor Communication: 10%

Your Mid-Term Exam Grade will be a culmination of your

  1. Research Paper
  2. Research Background Presentation and
  3. Course Reflection
  4. Journal Entries (Honor Students ONLY)

Your Final Exam Grade will include:

      1. Final Presentation in class (teacher evaluation)
      2. Final Presentation to panel of judges
      3. Final Evaluation by mentors (Final Evaluation Rubric)
      4. Journal Entries (Honor students ONLY)

Materials Needed:

  • Tri-fold poster board for Senior Exhibition Night in April.
  • Flash Drive (to keep an electronic files of your work)
  • Chromebook/Google Drive

You must complete your project, research paper, and present before the panel of judges in order to pass Senior Seminar!
