Dear Upchurch Families,
First and foremost, Happy Friday!
It is with mixed emotions that I share a professional change for next year. Next school year, I’ve decided to accept a principal position at a school that holds deep personal meaning for me. This school is part of the community where I attended from kindergarten through 8th grade.
I truly never imagined leaving Millard, especially Upchurch, as the families I’ve had the privilege to serve here are, without a doubt, the most incredible I’ve ever been fortunate to know. Leaving Millard and Upchurch is not a decision I take lightly, but this opportunity carries a special connection for both me and my family.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for continuing to share your beautiful children with me and the talented staff at Upchurch. We still have so much of this school year ahead, and I remain fully committed to making it the best one yet in my career. Millard will place a highly skilled and dedicated administrator to serve the families of Upchurch and work with our exceptional staff to continue making this one of the best schools in the state. I will work closely with the next principal to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.
Once again, we have many months of learning and growing ahead, and I am fully dedicated to ensuring your children continue to thrive in every aspect.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Lindsey Harrahill

Millard Public Schools is currently seeking a $158 million bond to address security, renovations, and maintenance at all 35 schools. The bond would not increase the tax rate. To learn how this is possible and more about what the bond would do, attend a community information meeting. All meetings begin at 6 p.m.

Our fifth grade HAL students (last names G-Z) traveled to MCC Sarpy to learn about and try their hand at using 3-D pens. They also learned about an individual who uses 3-D technology to create prosthetics for animals. They were challenged to think about what would need to be considered to create prosthetics for specific animals and to create a model prototype of a prosthetic device. Then, students had some time to use the 3-D pens to create items of their choosing.
Our HAL fifth graders (last names A-F) learned about forensic science and crime scene investigation at MCC Sarpy on January 10. They gathered finger prints and DNA evidence and examined their own fingerprints to find distinguishing features.
