Schools can receive Medicaid funding to help cover the cost of special education and health services. To access this funding, we need parent or guardian consent.
Request that families sign the stand-alone Consent for Reimbursement form or the consent section in the PWN.
All families should be asked to sign, regardless of Medicaid (MA) status.
Upload signed forms into EdPlan as soon as possible.
Consent allows schools to recover funding without affecting the family’s insurance.
Early consent ensures we can back-bill if students are found eligible later.
The form is available in EdPlan → Documents / Letters (in four languages).

Structured Teaching
Structured Teaching is an instructional approach designed to create predictable, organized learning environments, especially beneficial for students who thrive with visual supports and routine. It helps make curriculum content, tasks, and activities more accessible by presenting them in clear, visual formats.
Structured Teaching enhances student independence, reduces anxiety, and supports understanding by making expectations visible and routines consistent.
