STUDENTS’ LEARNING STYLES AND THEIR SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS: BASIS FORDEVELOPMENT OF DIFFERENTIATED LEARNING ACTIVITIES

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to determine the relation of VAK’s learning styles and science process skills based on the developed differentiated learning activities invEarth Science for grade 8 students in Cupang National High School during SY: 2023 –2024. The study used descriptive type of research, and a simple random sampling specifically a fishbowl method was used in selecting a respondent. It identified the learning styles of the students that led to the development of differentiated activities anchored on the science process skills. The respondents in this study were 120 grade 8 students. The data gathering instruments used in this research consist checklist of learning styles, differentiated learning activities for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Furthermore, the researcher used weighted mean, chi-square test, and standard deviation to treat the gathered data. VAK Learning recognizes the diversity of learners and provides a framework to cater their individual preferences. Incorporating visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements into teaching practices aid the educators in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that improves and enhances understanding, engagement, and retention of information.
