SCHOOL–BASED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE: BASIS FOR A PROPOSED ACTION PLAN

ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to find out the extent of implementation of school–Based Management (SBM) System in school years 2018-2021 in connection with the performance of the teachers in public secondary schools in District I–C of the City Schools Division of Antipolo. It focused on the teachers and administrators’ perceptions about the status of the school-based management system's implementation, if there would be significant difference on the perception of the two groups of respondents’ relative to this, on how well did the teachers perform over the previous three years, the correlation, if any, between the degree of school-based management system implementation and the teachers' performance and the proposed action plan. The study used the descriptive method of research. The respondents of the study were randomly selected. They are public secondary teachers, School Coordinators, Head Teachers, and School Heads in the selected public secondary schools in the City Schools Division of Antipolo. From the data collected, it indicates that instructors' performance and the degree to which the SBM system is implemented are significantly correlated, and that there is no discernible difference between the two groups of respondents’ perceptions of the SBM system. Additionally, there was an improvement in the performance of the teachers in comparison to the degree of SBM implementation in the public
