Hello, my name is Elise Harvey. I am in 8th grade at Mountain Middle school. This is my third year here, and I am now one of the oldest students in the school. My hobbies are swimming (picture on the right), football, aerial (picture above), and video games. I have a very good attendance record, and I have gotten into almost no trouble. This means there have been no processing sheets/reflection sheets going home with me in three years! Some people might think of me as a goody goody, but it's better than being a kid with bad grades and getting into trouble every day. The lens for this year is impact, and I think impact means how you will influence your society, but more on that later. I hope you enjoy learning about my journey of 8th grade through my POL presentation.
The eighth grade lens is impact. Impact to me means how you will influence the world, Be that at your school, your house, your town, even your state. In school, you can Impact your peers by not only doing something great, but being great. For example, you can leave an impact by winning a competition like a spelling bee. However, you can leave an impact by being kind to everyone, trying hard in school, and being a great person overall as well. My impact can grow this year because as the oldest person in the school, I am a role model for younger students, and that means if I am a good one, The impact I will leave will be great.
