Learning Targets:
Geometry Long-Term Learning Target: I can apply my knowledge of rigid and non-rigid transformations to solve geometric problems related to congruence, similarity and scale factor.
Algebra Long-Term Learning Target: I can apply my understanding of proportional relationships, linear relationships, systems of equations and functions to reason about real-world scenarios.
This year for my Math i-Ready, I got an overall score of 7th grade, 498. Which I think is pretty good, given it is the start of the school year. But I also think I could've taken more time on the questions to answer them to the best of my ability. Sometimes I just get bored of the i-Ready test, and start rushing. My goal for my next i-Ready test is to take my time, not rush, and in the end get the best grade possible. I scored in the 54th percentile, meaning I scored higher than almost half, and lower than almost half of the rest students in my class. which I think is really great considering it is the start of the school year. I have also learned a lot since then that I can apply in my next i-Ready test. My goal for the mid-year i-Ready is to focus on being present in the test and not letting the long boring process affect my score. This will help my overall grade, and give me more practice taking tests to the best of my ability to prepare me for High School.
Every day at the end of math class we all answer a sheet showing Mrs. Boone what we know and testing our knowledge on what we learned that day. This is NOT for a grade, but simply to show what we know.
These quizzes were about ridged transformations like translations, rotations, and reflections and how to get one figure to another while using them. For the first quiz I got a 5/5, a meets, and for the second one I got a 3/5 which ids still a meets, but not as good. One of my long term goals in math is to keep studying and understanding math class, and learn from my mistakes from quizzes and problems.
This assessment was about shapes, how to find angles of figures. using rigid transformations to get one figure to the other, and much more from the unit. On the test I got an Approaching because I was overthinking and questioning myself. In the future I am going to be as confident as I can and study my Cool Downs and other materials to help me do so. In my Workbook for Unit 1 I got a Meets because I had all of the lessons filled out and done. My goal for next unit is to be confident and practice my skills more often so that I will do my best in the tests and in class.
In this test we covered dilation, similarity, and slope. Dilation is when you resize a shape by increasing or decreasing its size from a center point to create a scaled copy. Similar shapes have the exact same angles and are related by dilation, while slope measures a line's steepness by comparing its vertical change to its horizontal change. On this test I got a meets, 12.5/16, most of my mistakes were just simple errors that I could've fixed by reading through my answer more thoroughly. My goal for Unit 3 test is to thoroughly read through my answers and fix small errors or mistakes. In my workbook I got a meets. My goal for the next unit is to go back and refine and do the work that I missed and ultimately get an exceeds.
These quizzes were a little challeging but good for my understanding of tthe algebra unit! I got an approaching on quiz one primarily becuase I was gone when they learned new steps, but for quiz 2 I got a meets. I am very proud of myself for pushing through and getting these quizzes done even though I missed some days!
In this test, we mostly focused on solving single and multi step equations and finding slope. I really loved this unit and finding slope came super easy to me! I got a meets on this test which I am very happy about and I cant wait to do more of this and even advance to two step equations and more!
This quiz was about Systems of Equations and how to graph and solve them. I got a 4/5 meets on this quiz. I think I did really well, just missing a part of one question, meaning I have deffinitly been focused in class and paying attention to understand the content. My goal for next quiz is to go back and check my answers and make sure they are correct after I take it and make corrections when needed.
