About Me
My 8th grade year has been like a hike up a really big mountain trail. At first, you think it’s just about getting to the top, but really, it’s about everything that happens along the way.
Eighth grade has been a journey, but I’ve changed so much for the better. I have learned so much more about myself and who I am, who I want to be around and who I want to impact!
You Probably know by now, but each year at Mountain Middle School we get a "lens" or word that we focus on or improve each year. This year it's impact. To me impact means to me is the powerful effect or influence that a person's actions has on another person or situation, whether it's positive or negative. This year I want to have a positive affect on my teachers and peers. I want to leave this school feeling proud of the friendships I've made, the challenges I've overcome, and the person I've become. I want to impact my life along with the lives of ALL of my peers. I also want to be the person that people are excited to see in the morning and the person that is trustworthy, reliable, and helpful towards others.
I have started connecting with our school's lens of "impact" by making a conscious effort to be a more empathetic listener when my friends come to me with problems, which has built stronger trust within my friends and my self. This has positively impacted others by making them feel heard and valued, and it has impacted me by strengthening my self-confidence as a reliable friend and leader.
