1st Semester

In our first semester of Humanities, our projects were the evolution of story telling, we discussed how stories evolved and annotated short stories, and we also learned about the invention of paper and the printing press.

In ELA we did annotations, figurative of language, and worked on our 7th grade style guide. We also talked about stories, and how they matter, and the evolution of storytelling.

I can examine the ways humans shared stories across time.

I can analyse and practice the structural elements of creative writing.

I can create captivating narratives using literary devices.

Human Migration Stories

Long Term Learning Target:

I can explore maps, population data, personal accounts, and infromtional texts regarding hisoricaland modern human migration patterns in order to synthisies my understanding into well developed reaserch paper and captivating interveiws.

In this style Guide, we talked about all sorts of things from commas, to parts of speech, direct and indirect objects, capitalization rules, clauses, phrases, sentence types, and much more! It is important for us to learn about these things because otherwise we would not know how to use them.
