All internships are non-paid internships.

We host zoom interviews in group settings for FA23 and forward. Students must know that this is a competitive process.  The Morlock Foundation does not only provide an internship where you have a caseload but there are educational aspects along the way that will help you to develop the best social work practice for you.

What is the process?

  1. Students must submit a resume, provide institutional information including how many semesters, what institution, what platform they use (sonia, tevera, taskstream or other), the availability for internship hours (EST), along with anything else that would tell us why you are the best fit for this position.

  2. You will be invited to a zoom session where you can ask questions from current students while we also get to know you.  Once that zoom meeting has concluded there will be discussions from current students and staff to see if you are the best fit for the organization.  Within 3 days you will receive an email of acceptance or the match will not work. We don't want to drag students along we love learning and teaching those who want to be and do their best for others.  If you are one that is chosen for the position you will have 3 days to accept the position or your position will be given to the next student in line.  I am sorry we cannot hold your position longer.  We have only so many positions available for day team and so many positions available for night team.

  3. Once you have accepted the position we ask you not to quit or change your mind because we will have to put 5-7 hours of time in to get you setup in the classrooms, email, client dashboards, client drives and more.  Please note that as probono staff we do not want to waste that valuable time.  Please make your commitment and stick to it.

  4. You will be sent via snail mail or email the paperwork to start your placement.  We ask that you do this paperwork step by step.  It is really important to know that all internship time is done in zoom.  You must be able to be seen in the camera for your hours to count.

  5. You will work with a mentor or manager to finalize your learning contract within a couple weeks of your start date and submit it to your institution.

  6. You will setup a game plan for yourself with your onboarding, macro practice, clients, and mandatory meetings. You are at a different level in life if you have made it this far and will be expected to be professional, ethical and meet expectations set for this placement. All of these are essential, if you feel you cannot be organized to run your schedule accordingly without being micro-managed please let us know, this might not be a good fit.  We are educating the future leaders of professionals and it is critical to develop the organization and meet expectations.
