Element Two

Candidate Recruitment and Support

Element 2

Describe and provide evidence how and when candidates receive programmatic and academic information (progress toward completion, deadlines).

MCS Administrative Candidates (AC) receive program and academic information initially from recruitment materials, during their onboard meeting in Human Resources, at the first CASC kick-off meeting, during scheduled meetings throughout the year, and email. The CASC handbook is online and a hardcopy is provided to each AC during the kick-off meeting. The handbook includes due dates, program sequence, and contact information.

Sample of Communication:

  • Beginning of Year Communication

  • CASC Agenda

Human Resources Department investigates credentials of potential hires through the Commission website to verify if they have the correct credential. Once a new administrator is hired and their preliminary administrator services credential is verified, HR completes a new hire intake form and informs the induction program.

Progress & Deadline Completion by Mentor

Candidates receive feedback on their progress in a variety of ways including:

  • Administrative Individual Learning Plan includes pages for Mentor comments on progress

  • Collaboration log- highlights AILP progress

  • Benchmark assessment - assesses growth on CPSELs

  • Timeline of recruitment and training

AC receive feedback from the program by

  • a portfolio review

  • Comments written on their AILP submitted mid-year and at the end of the year. All documents are stored in a shared

Google Drive for ease of communication between AC, mentor, & induction program.
