Continuous Improvement
Element 1
How will the proposed program be incorporated into the education unit’s continuous improvement process that identifies program and unit effectiveness?
There is a chain of communication ( 1, 2, 3) and collaboration between the education unit and program. The chain of command shown by the stakeholders activity chart oversees the seamless transition between duties and responsibilities including continuous feedback and possible revisions to increase effectiveness. This is depicted in the unit and program evaluation system.
Quantitative Data: In order to review quantitative data, the Administrator of Special Projects, Induction will analyze student achievement, attendance and suspension data from sites with administrators enrolled in the CASC Program. This data will be analyzed during weekly collaborative meetings with Senior Directors of School Leadership, CIPD, and Assessment and Evaluation.
The Leadership Advisory Team(shown in the above stakeholders’ activity chart) consistently reviews qualitative and quantitative data from formative and summative assessments to analyze and build on the strengths of the program. It is the responsibility of the Administrator of Special Projects to share both Qualitative and Quantitative Data with the Advisory Team. The Leadership Advisory Team will meet regularly to make recommendations to improve the Induction Program to support the continuous improvement process. A sample agenda can be found here. The agenda indicates the topics that will be discussed including: review of data, planning next steps, and reviewing sections of the handbook. Additionally, the Administrator of Special Projects will review the Monthly Contact Logs and progress of each AILP. Through review of the data, documents submitted by Administrator Candidates and leadership Coaches, along with input from the Advisory Team, we will be able to evaluate the program to identify areas for continued growth.
The Administrator of Special Projects, Induction will present an evaluation of the CASC program to the School Board each year.
