SESSION 5: PRACTICAL- SURVEY AND DOCUMENTATION
Lecture 13 & 14: PRACTICAL SESSIION I & II (360 MINUTES)

In this practical session, participants will apply the theories and techniques learned in Lecture 6 on survey and documenrtation through hands-on fieldwork. They will undertake the survey and documentation of one selected heritage building as a case example, utilizing the tools and methods introduced earlier.
The session will be divided into two parts:
Practical Session I will focus on the survey process, where participants will carry out a detailed analysis of the building's layout, materials, and condition, including gathering measurements, photographs, and sketches.
Practical Session II will focus on documentation, where participants will compile the collected data into appropriate formats, such as architectural drawings and condition reports.
By the end of these practical sessions, participants will have gained valuable experience in the field, reinforcing their understanding of how to properly document and survey heritage buildings for conservation purposes.
