The Singapore National Cadet Corps (NCC) Command Band is a full-fledged ceremonial band dedicated to serve the Nation, Corps and School. 2019 saw the Command Band's participation in the Singapore Armed Forces Basic Military Training Centre Graduation Parade held in June. We also hosted the Music Programme of Brigidine College St. Ives in Swiss Cottage, and had an afternoon of learning, interacting and performing for each other. Another highlight was our attendance at the Singapore Youth Festival Celebrations in the Community held at Our Tampines Hub. In addition to performing, our cadets also formed a Welcome Guard to receive the Guest-of-Honour for the event, MP for Tampines GRC, Ms Cheng Li Hui.
Last year's National Day Parade at the Padang featured our Ceremonial Drumline, which played alongside drummers from the Singapore Armed Forces and APSN Tanglin School. The Command Band, led by Drum Major MSG Nasyitha Binte Zamree, was also part of the NDP Combined Band. The Command Band also actively participated in HQ NCC events, such as the NCC Cadet Officer's Course Graduation Parade. Through such deployments, we hope to forge a greater sense of purpose and further contribute to the military music scene in Singapore.
