Dedication, commitment and resilience are qualities developed in every member of the Dance Group. Each member is critical and no one dancer is more important than another.
In Dance, we develop not just the skills and techniques of the student but her character as well. Whether through competitions, performances, workshops and exchanges etc, Dance nurtures our students a strong passion for the art form, committed to continually improve themselves in skill and character. We emphasise the importance of teamwork, working together and lifting each other to perform their best.
Aside from the Biennial SYF, the Dance CCA holds sold-out Dance concerts in collaboration with the Dance CCA from SCGS Primary. There is a strong sense of collaboration, community and pride as they work together to put up the concert.

2025 CCA Experience
Throughout 2025, Dance participated in a wide range of events. The year began with the annual Chinese New Year performances at Great World, where Dance performed before a public audience and presented excerpts of routines that had been refined through consistent practice and dedication.
In April, Dance took part in the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation, clinching a Distinction award in both the International Dance and Chinese Dance categories. Following this, Dance performed a Latin-inspired, jazz-style item during the school’s National Day celebrations, bringing energy and vibrancy to the event. Around the same period, Dance also participated in the Teachers’ Day celebration, where the dancers choreographed and performed a lively hip-hop routine as a tribute to the teachers.
Towards the end of the year, Dance was involved in the Secondary 4 Prom, preparing a lyrical piece dedicated to the graduating Secondary 4 cohort. Dance also performed at the SCGS Open House, presenting a diverse medley that showcased our dancers’ talents. This performance included a classical ballet piece, a Chinese dance item, and a few jazz pieces, allowing the Primary 6 students to get a glimpse of what we experience during CCA.
