We believe our teachers are key to igniting the passion for Science in Crestians by INspiring them to be young scientists with a spirit of INquiry and the capacity to INnovate. Our Science teachers are consistently looking for ways to improve our pedagogy and resources to meet the needs of our students, always mindful that we are equipping them with skills and knowledge necessary for the next level of education and possibly, for future employment.
We seek to draw a fine balance between the rigour required for the eventual national exams and the need to ensure holistic teaching and learning that develop the right skills and values in the learning of Science. Our programmes are developed to support these beliefs, to not merely acquire knowledge but have the opportunities to demonstrate ways of thinking and doing in Science.
Students are given the opportunity to apply what they have learnt in the classroom and have fun!

The STEM project enables students to understand the importance of harnessing energy sources through balloon powered cars and chemical powered vehicles, where students harness the gases produced from chemical reactions with acids and baking soda to power DIY cars or rockets.
A collaboration with Science Centre Singapore, our Upper Secondary Biology students participate in a genetic engineering workshop in school to learn real-world biotechnology applications and develop interest in biotechnology and science.
We encourage our students to participate in learning journeys/ competitions/ activities/ research to stretch their potential and expose them to varied ways of learning. Such include the Science Interest Group for Sec 1s and 2s, Elementz Science Research Conference & Exhibition, ignITE Skills Challenge and Temasek Polytechnic Engineering Olympiad.
