learning about the wider SEA region and the world through cultural immersion activities in Ho Chi Minh City and its neighbouring provinces.
Our students have been busy preparing for their upcoming trip! 💪✨Each team took the lead in researching and presenting about Vietnam covering topics such as its rich history, economic activities, language, and social norms. These presentations not only deepened their understanding of the country, but also helped them appreciate the culture and context they’ll soon experience firsthand.
Get to know our OVIA Troop!
Our students will soon be heading to Vietnam for their VIA journey and they’ve been working closely with our OVIA troop in preparation for it! Through these sessions, the students have been learning, planning, and developing the skills needed to make a meaningful impact during their trip.
We’re excited to see how their teamwork and efforts will come to life in Vietnam!

Settling in and learning the rhythm of a new place. Day 1 was all about adaptability, adjusting, observing, and moving as a team. From navigating streets to following instructions, everyone7 played their part.
It’s time for some action! We started the day with an opportunity to engage with the amazing students of St. Joseph’s Charity School. We prepared fun and engaging lessons, got to know more about the school, and started painting the wall mural today!
Today was about immersing ourselves in the local culture. From hopping on the Saigon Metro to exploring the bustling Bến Thành Market! From navigating the stations to bargaining for souvenirs, every moment was an adventure of its own.
Our final day of service learning was all about connection. The day was filled with laughter, music, and meaningful moments. From performing and hosting carnival games to serving dinner and sharing smiles. A beautiful reminder that kindness knows no language, and joy multiplies when shared.
Today was all about learning about history and reflecting on it. We visited the War Remnants Museum and explored the Cu Chi Tunnels. A powerful reminder of resilience, sacrifice, and the strength of the human spirit.
A city tour around some of the main sights in Saigon! It’s a day to take in the beauty, culture, and vibrant energy of the city, while reflecting on all the good things we’ve learned throughout this journey.
