Four Teaching Processes, surrounded by Teaching Areas, anchored in Application and Reflection.
Assessment & Feedback
Checking for understanding throughout the lesson, providing timely and specific feedback, supporting self-directed learning, and setting meaningful assignments.
Positive Classroom Culture
Establishing interaction and rapport, setting expectations and routines, empowering learners, building trust, and maintaining positive discipline.
Lesson Preparation
Determining lesson objectives, considering learners' profiles, sequencing learning, planning key questions, and selecting teaching aids and learning resources.
Lesson Enactment
Activating prior knowledge, arousing interest, providing clear explanation, encouraging engagement, pacing, using questions to deepen learning, concluding meaningfully.
Reflection prompts for teachers
✽ Which Teaching Process did I most consciously enact in this lesson? Which one did I under-attend to?
✽ How did I activate prior knowledge before introducing the new concept?
✽ What feedback did students receive within the lesson — not just at the end?
