Drills - To instil discipline & resilience
Service - Develop empathy to identify and meet needs in the world with an attitude of gratitude and service
Treasure - Develop courage and patience to learn and apply new skills purposefully
Adventure - Develop resilience and tenacity to complete physical challenges, as an individual and a team member
Responsibility - Develop a sense of responsibility and respect towards self, others and the world
Service Badge
We did beach cleaning at Pasir Ris Park and experienced how it felt for the cleaners to work under the hot sun.
"The whole team working together at the beach to clean up the rubbish was the most memorable part of GB camp 2022 as I have learnt to love the environment."
~Chin Shi Xuan, Claire (6 Brilliance, 2022)~
Treasure Badge - Crochet
It was a very challenging badge work!
If we made a mistake, we would have to untie the knot and try again. However, with the support from our squad mates, we were thrilled to see the end product!
"I felt a sense of achievement learning how to crochet. At the beginning, I tried to pull the string through the hole but it kept coming out. I did it slowly and used my fingers to adjust the hole a bit. This activity is very meaningful as I learnt a new skill."
~Koh Yong Wei, Janelle (6 Brilliance, 2023)~
Adventure Badge - Rollerblading
We had the opportunity to rollerblade in school and many of us fell but we had so much fun!
"The most memorable moment during the camp was when I first learned how to rollerblade. I remembered that I struggled very hard at first to balance. After many tries and many falls, I gradually got the hang of it. I was very happy because rollerblading was something that I wanted to try out for the longest time."
~Vania Ang En Qi (4 Diligence, 2023)~
Responsibility Badge -
Stress Management
We attended a talk about stress management and learnt how we can deal with stress in a healthy manner.
"I breathe in and out and calm myself down. I make sure that I do not panic and try to manage everything happening around me. I do things I like and try to look at the positive side. I will tell myself, "Next time I should manage my time better" or "I'll learn from this experience." I also stretch to calm my body's nerves. "
~Faith Loo Sze Qi (5 Excellence, 2023)~
Brush Calligraphy
We went through two hours of Brush Calligraphy lesson in school and learnt the different techniques of calligraphy. We can now design more unique cards and posters!
"I enjoyed practising calligraphy and tracing out the letters with my brush pen. I was resilient, even though learning this new skill was difficult, I kept on trying and eventually learnt how to write in a different way. As I wrote, I realised that I wrote the letters wrongly. I studied the printed letter and continued practising. Slowly, I managed to write calligraphy properly. I can make use of this new skill by using it to write greetings to others."

We also learnt more about God and the Bible during CCA sessions.
GB Camp 2022 - Let your light shine
We could finally have a physical camp this year! Although it was only a 2-day camp, with no overnight stay in school, we were able to build stronger bonds with our friends, and learn many new skills and values!

National Day 2022
Stronger Together, Majulah!
We were very honored to participate in this year's National Day Observance Ceremony!
In collaboration with our KCPPS Visual Arts Club and AWWA Community Home for Senior Citizens, the Girls’ Brigade donated and helped to prepare a list of items for the care packs and delivered them to the seniors.
Junior Leadership Training Camp (JLTC)
14 girls were selected this year to attend JLTC in Term 1.
The training aims to equip them with the necessary skills needed in leading a squad and planning activities for the company.
Upon successful completion of the Junior Leadership Training, they were awarded the JLTC badge and will be expected to lead their squads in 2022 and 2023.
GB Friendship Day 2022- Adopt A Wish
In collaboration with the Southwest Community Development Council, the Girls’ Brigade helped to fulfil the specific wishes of 4,000 vulnerable individuals during this year’s GB Friendship Day. Our school helped to adopt 50 of these wishes. Our GB girls and their parents donated the items and blessed many needy families.
<< Here are some of the many items donated.
Our girls also designed and made inspirational cards for the needy families.
Delivering the Donations
GB Day 2022
We celebrated GB Day on 12 July this year. All of us wore the GB uniform. We felt so proud when our school mates clapped for us during assembly. It was a surprise seeing our Principal, Mrs Yee, in our uniform too!
Fast Food & Fuzz Camp 2022
This year's Fast Food & Fuzz Camp was held online on 30 July 2022. The P4 girls were in school with our teachers and joined the other GB girls around Singapore via Zoom.
This year's theme is POVERTY. We have learnt how to appreciate what we have and give thanks in all circumstances. We were also able to experience what children in 3rd world country face daily, through the role-playing activities.
It was fun meeting many other GB girls and we hope to have a physical Fast Food & Fuzz Camp soon!
Low Guat Tin Challenge 2022 -
Better Together, for a Better Tomorrow
The Girls' Brigade Dr Low Guat Tin (LGT) Challenge encourages girls to seek creative ways to improve the lives of those around them - expanding the boundaries of their capabilities and empathy toward their world.
This year's theme, "Better together, for a better tomorrow" calls for creative submissions (poem, prose, illustration, photography, original song, video or animation) to educate, encourage, foster empathy, dream of a radical invention, or depict an ideal Singapore that is concerned for those who have trouble catching up.
"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."
- Mother Theresa

I would like to thank the teachers and officers for promoting me to a Junior leader as this new role has taught me how to be resilient and aiming to achieve excellence in everything I do.
Donating to the needy families during GB Friendship Day has given me the opportunity to give back to the society and showing Amazing Love too.
Some wonderful memories I had in GB are rock climbing, cushion making, crocheting and staying overnight in school during GB Camp!
I would like to remind my juniors to never give up and always be optimistic and shine for Jesus.
BUVESHNA D/O RAJINIKANTH NAIDU (6 GRACE 2022)
SQUAD 10 LEADER
The different types of activities I took part in during these 4 years have taught me the importance of responsibility. As a Junior leader, I am responsible of my squad mates and I need to take great care of them.
To my juniors, my advice for you is to be resilient. In GB, you will face many challenges. It is alright to fail, just keep trying. You will not regret going through this experience.
I would also like to thank the GB teachers for always being there for us. We have learnt so much values and new skills because of the great activities planned by you despite your busy schedules.
