The P2 CCA orientation will be held on 7 August during curriculum time from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.. The P2 CCA orientation aims to help pupils to learn about the different CCA that the school provides before they make their selections. During the P2 CCA orientation, pupils are to focus on visiting the CCA booths based on their interests and preferred choices.
In addition, do take time to explore this KCPPS CCA Google Site with your child to learn more about the CCAs our school has to offer. Do note that this KCPPS CCA Google Site will be available for viewing from 29 May to 31 August 2025.
It is important that parents discuss the CCA choices with their child and select them in ranking order of preference by 15 August 2025 via the All Ears Form.
Pupils will then be notified of their allotted CCA by 19 November 2025 through their Form Teachers.
Please note the following:
1. All CCAs are held on Thursday afternoons, except for Concert Band (on Monday and Friday afternoons), Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade (sessions will mainly be held on Friday afternoons, however for HQ events, they may be held on Saturday mornings).
2. For pupils who have been selected to join Concert Band CCA through the trial in July, they will automatically be assigned Concert Band as their CCA.
3. For pupils who have selected Boys’ Brigade or Girls’ Brigade CCA as one of the choices, they may indicate if they want to join a 2nd CCA (optional). Allotment of 2nd CCA is subjected to availability and teachers’ recommendation.
4. CCA is allotted based on pupil's rank order, subjected to availability and teachers’ recommendation.
5. If a pupil does not wish to join any of the offered CCAs, please indicate 'NO' in the options.
For pupils attending CCAs on Thursdays, bus transport will be arranged at 4.00pm to send the pupils home. For pupils who are not participating in any CCA on Thursdays, parents will need to make the necessary transport arrangement for that day. For pupils taking school bus, kindly liaise with the bus company for your child to follow the P1 and P2 school bus arrangements at 1.30pm.
In Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary school, we strongly encourage all P3 to P6 pupils to be actively involved in at least one CCA. Pupils are strongly encouraged to remain in the same CCA up to Primary 6 in order to acquire the spectrum of skills offered by the CCA. Should your child wish to request for a change in CCA, it can be made in September of each year, through the respective CCA’s teachers-in-charge. All requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We seek your understanding and support for CCAs that require co-payment for items such as pupils’ performance costumes, jerseys, and shoes, as well as the engagement of qualified instructors/coaches. The amount for co-payment varies with the number of participants and no refund will be given.
Thank you for your support and partnership. If you have any queries, kindly email us at ong_xuan@moe.edu.sg.
