Turn your lessons into adventures!
Staff will get a first-hand sharing of the technology affordances and actual experiences brought on by use of Claskick* and Classcraft^.
*Classkick is a web- and app-based assessment tool that allows teachers to create lessons, assignments and even tests that students can access from their mobile devices and work (including free-hand writing useful for subjects with notations) on at their own pace.
^Classcraft allows teachers to gamify their lessons and students' learning. It will encourage student's participation in class and with their lessons, promote good behavior, and develop 21st-century skills like collaboration and communication.
Student will be able to
(i) describe a ratio. Is able to give examples of ratio from real life.
(ii) manipulate and simplify ratios.
(iii) manipulate and simplify ratios of three quantities.
(iv) apply the concepts of ratios to different contexts.
The learning activities enrich the student learning and enhance their experiences so that they will be able to appreciate and retain better for the topic on ratio.
Given that our students are at the age where they are yearning for fun, the gamification of the lessons through ClassCraft enables the injection of fun elements into students' learning, thereby motivating them intrinsically.
In this series of lessons, lesson activities are planned in mind
(i) with the Key Applications of Technology (KATs),
(ii) various learning experiences,
(iii) various learning interactions.
You will be able to see how technology affordances can be easily taped on to enhance T&L.
