Start Guide
Neptune Navigate offers comprehensive online lessons that teach students and staff how to be smart and stay safe in the digital world. Learn from engaging and informative videos, quizzes, and real-world examples on the merits and best practices of digital citizenship.
This Start Guide will be a quick introduction into using Neptune Navigate. Be sure to explore the official documentation for a more comprehensive tutorial, as well as the documents shared under Resources> Getting Started in the sidebar after logging into Neptune Navigate.
Step 1
First things first, let's show how to log into Neptune Navigate
Log into Clever
Click on Resources in the left sidebar, if it's not already open
Click on the Neptune Navigate icon
Step 2
Become familiar with the different sections in the Neptune Navigate sidebar
Student Courses - The course modules for students to take
Staff Courses - The course modules for staff to take
Reports & Tools - Roster, badges, gradebooks, and other tools
Resources - Letters for announcing Neptune Navigate, Pre-K / K lessons, and other resources
Navigate Tutorials - Official training material for Neptune Navigate
To Do - Past-Due and Upcoming modules
Step 3
All courses and modules are already available to all students, but they must be taken in order starting with the first one. Students are already rostered to their teachers, so a teacher only needs to monitor the progress of the students.
Click on Reports & Tools> Gradebook Tools> Gradebook in the sidebar
Set the respective Location, Course, Roster, and Module
Click the Go button and scroll to see each students progress and score.
The courses can be reset for students in the Gradebook.
Click the checkbox next to the student's name
Click the Reset drop-down menu
Select Individually to reset the checked student scores
