D-2-6 : EXCHANGE STUDENT VISA
All international students joining our exchange program will need to apply for a student entry visa. Either a D-2-6 visa (exchange students) prior to their arrival in Korea.
OIA will send all prospective students the admission packet (Inclusive of Certificate of Admission, Business Registration document) for visa application. Please note that the admission letter is only valid for three months from the date of issuance
Students MUST have a valid student entry visa BEFORE arriving in Korea.
» Students SHOULD NOT arrive in Korea first on a tourist visa or under visa-free tourist conditions as they will not be granted a student visa whilst in Korea.
» Important: Visa processing can take time. Do NOT book your flight until your visa is approved and issued.
If you notice any errors in your Certificate of Admission such as the wrong birth date, misspelled name, wrong gender, incorrect passport number (or you got a new passport), wrong exchange length period, etc., please contact us as soon as possible so we can get this fixed. We do our best to not make mistakes but they do happen. Any certificate with these kinds of mistakes will be invalid so we will have to send you a new copy and it can slow down your ability to apply for a visa.
The requirements may vary across different countries so students are strongly advised to contact the local Korean Embassy or Consulate to inquire about visa requirements.
Exchange students must apply for a D-2-6 visa. Please note that student visas are single-entry visas which only valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.
