T-money is the most widely used prepaid transportation card in Korea. It can be used on buses, subways, and taxis in most parts of the country, and it offers discounted transfers between buses and subways. However, please note that the card may not be accepted in some rural areas.
T-money cards can be purchased at subway stations and convenience stores, and they must be charged before use.
Passengers can transfer between buses and subways for an additional fee without paying the full basic fare again. When transferring to or from buses, make sure to tap your card on the reader both when getting on and when getting off the bus.
