Using Google Docs
This term we have been learning about using Google docs. We've been looking at the toolbar and experimenting with fonts, sizing, colours and alignments. In order to create a poster for our Healthy Eating unit, we are learning to search and insert imagery, as well as adding text. The children are also learning to share their documents.
Coding with Discovery Education
In Autumn 1, we used Discovery Education coding to build on our previous knowledge of block coding. We learned how to programme by creating sets of instructions or code to animate objects and create our own games.
E-safety
We looked at PEGI (Pan-European Game Information) ratings and discussed which games and websites are appropriate for the different ages. By learning to recognise the way in which games are rated, the children are able to make the right choices when gaming or viewing.

Spring term 2
This term we have been learning about stop frame animation.
We looked at how images can move and created our own mini-animations by making flip books. We learned that by drawing the same picture multiple times, but making a small change each time we could make our stick people come alive by simply flicking through our books quickly.
