You may have noticed that some of your clients have used a “Beder” promo code as payment to join their sessions at Mindler.
Beder is a charity that raises awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. It was founded by Razzak Mirjan and his family in November 2019 following the loss of Beder Mirjan who sadly took his own life at the age of 19 in April 2017.
Beder has various fundraising initiatives including cookbooks and a football club. They have been collaborating with Mindler since 20203 offering vouchers to people who would not normally be able to access therapy sessions. Clients were initially entitled to 3 free sessions, but as of 2024 this was extended to 6 free therapy sessions. Everyone with this voucher can also access the iCBT self-help material and once they have completed their 6 free sessions they are able to use a code to have a 10% discount off self-funded sessions.
As with any initial assessment, clinicians will need to complete a thorough review as usual to determine whether therapy is appropriate. If therapy is not suitable, then you will need to signpost accordingly with the usual referral pathways within the NHS and other appropriate bodies and follow the usual process when discharging a client from Mindler. There is no referral pathway back into Beder.
Beder asks that these vouchers are not promoted to existing clients. The limited vouchers are only available to those who would not normally be able to access therapy - typically they find out about Beder through social media and advertising campaigns run by the charity.
Each client will be contacted by the Independent Psychologist at Beder inviting them to complete an anonymous survey requesting feedback and reminding them of their 10% discount for further sessions. The data is used to help access further funding to be able to reach more people with the feedback helping to inform future decision making.
Can I mention Beder to my existing clients for when their Vitality sessions have completed and/or they don’t want to self-fund anymore?
Please don't. Beder kindly asks that these vouchers are not promoted to existing clients. The limited vouchers are only available to those who would not normally be able to access therapy - typically they find out about Beder through social media and advertising campaigns run by the charity.
Yes. Beder clients are provided with a promo code to access 6 sessions at the point of registration
If you feel there is a clinical need for more sessions, please email Customer Service on suppport@mindler.co.uk with the User ID and to advise there is a clinical need for 6 more sessions for the Beder client. ¨
The team will send the client an in app message with the promo code to add to their Mindler account. If a client needs more than 12 sessions, please refer them via the usual NHS treatment pathways.
No. Please follow the Mindler clinical protocols in place for any risk assessments following the usual pathways
No. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferrable to new bookings. The session is not refunded if the client cancels within 24 hours, misses a session or does not complete a session.
No. Sessions are non-refundable. Beder clients are effectively the same as a self-funding client whose session has been paid for at the time of booking, so an invoice is not generated.
