Sir Christian Renier Pola, MAEd is a mentor to SEA Teacher Project participants and an educator who teaches in Kindergarten 2 and Childminding Class. Sir Renier uses a teaching method that includes student-centered discussions. He uses language that is intentionally simple and easy for students to understand. He usually uses the Ilocano language and English for teaching. Each session begins with a prayer led by a volunteer student, sometimes followed by a short video that stimulates motor skills through eye coordination and body movement.
Throughout the lesson, she regularly conducts short reviews to reinforce previously learned concepts and ensure that students stay connected to the material. Student participation is actively encouraged, and their engagement is reflected in their willingness to answer questions. During the assessment session, students complete the task themselves and show the teacher the result. While the students are doing the task, the teacher goes around the class to check the students' work.
At the end of the lesson, she instills a sense of responsibility in the students by instructing them to return the chairs to their designated places and line up before going home.
