Daliasat Activity: Strengthening Cultural and Linguistic Collaboration
The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) organized the Daliasat activity, bringing together SEA Teacher participants from Indonesia to introduce and learn about Tagalog and Ilokano languages. The event was designed to be engaging, featuring interactive PowerPoint presentations and language games to make learning more accessible and enjoyable for participants.
The learning experience was further enriched through one-on-one language tutoring, with English Language Education graduates teaching Tagalog and graduate students in Filipino Language Education mentoring on Ilokano. The activity concluded with a delightful introduction to traditional Filipino snacks, offering participants a taste of local culture.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for participants to gain not only language skills but also a deeper understanding of Filipino culture, fostering connections and mutual appreciation among the diverse group.
