From PDFs

Step 1 - Convert the PDF handout into an image

Use PDF2go.com - Use the convert PDF to JPG feature. Click here to go to the website

Step 2 - Create a new Google Slide

In your Google Drive, create a Google Slide . Name it, this will be your Digital Handout.

Resize the Google Slide to give it the dimensions of a page. Do this by going to the File menu/Page Setup. Click on Custom. Set values to 8.5 X 11 inches

Step 3 - Change Background of the Google Slide

Make the image created in Step 1 the background of your Google Slide. To do this, in your Google Slide, click on the background button on the tool bar. Upload the image created in Step 1.

Step 4 - Insert text boxes

Step 5 - Share a copy of your Digital Handout slide with your students.

Using Google Classroom - Every student gets their own copy.

In Moodle, get the shareable link of the Google Slide. Force a copy by changing the URL ending from "edit" to "copy". The link can be added to the Moodle course page as an assignment or as a Google Assignment.
