“To all the incoming freshman, I say join WJ Music because it will give you the chance to become a better musician, and it will help you create better memories in high school. When I joined concert band my freshman year, I didn't realize that I was sitting next to my soon to be best friend. Band introduced me to newer and more complex pieces of music that was challenging but it was super fun to play. Out of the four years I was in the program, I learned so much about life. All of the quotes on the board and the daily lessons were always up-lifting. Even on my bad days, my music classes found a way to make me feel happy or lift my spirits. Every moment I spent in the band room were my best moments of high school. I wish I could've done every band class offered!! I will miss everyone so so much and I can't wait to come back and visit. Overall, being in music classes was the highlight of my entire high school career. The last thing I want to say about the WJ Music Department is… Strong Work!”
