The Concert Band is an entry-level band class open to all brass, woodwind, and percussion musicians in 9th grade. This ensemble performs at Walter Johnson High School's Winter and Spring Instrumental Music concerts. It is recommended that students have completed at least two years of band classes at the middle school level before enrolling in Concert Band. All band students must pass this class (or complete an equivalent-level high-school instrumental music course) before taking Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Orchestra, or Jazz Ensemble.
