Scholastic Aptitude Test
The SAT is an entrance exam that helps college admissions counselors make admission decisions. It measures the student's readiness for college-level courses while providing colleges with common data points that can be used to compare their applicant pool.
College counselors will use SAT test scores, along with the student's GPA, transcript, and letter of recommendation, to determine the student's admission decision.
The digital SAT is composed of two sections:
1) Reading and Writing
2) Math
Students have 64 minutes to complete 54 questions of Reading and Writing
Students have 70 minutes to complete 44 questions of Math
The total testing time is 2 hours and 14 minutes
(note: students with accommodations may have extended time)
