ACT
What is the ACT?
American College Testing
The ACT is an entrance exam that helps college admissions counselors make admission decisions. It measures the student's readiness for college-level courses while providing colleges with common data points that can be used to compare their applicant pool.
College counselors will use ACT test scores, along with the student's GPA, transcript, and letter of recommendation to determine the student's admission decision.

Can I get testing accommodations?
You will need to see your School Guidance Counselor to request accommodations. ALL accommodations must be provided by ACT prior to the late registration deadline for your selected test date.
What if my college/university is test optional?
Select schools do not use test scores to determine an admissions decision. Some schools can exempt students who meet a certain Grade Point Average, while other schools use scores for class placement purposes. Contact the Admissions Office of the college/university you're applying for more information. Don't forget to let them know what major you plan on studying - certain majors may require test scores (for example, engineering, mathematics, or any science related degree)
