To give you the best odds of finding an internship, there are now 5 defined paths you can follow to secure one. Each one is simply a different way to connect you to an employer. No matter which path you end up using, you will need a resume and interview skills. To prepare your application materials and figure out a broad area of interest, check out the student resources page.
We will bring in local businesses looking for an intern after school on 4/14. You should bring a resume, dress to impress, and research the companies you are interested in before attending. Meet and interview on site. See details and a list of attending companies by clicking above
Skills mean a lot, but your network means more. As part of a quarter 3 project, current internship students will meet with YOU, a student interested in their internship. You can learn more about what their day to day work is like, they will conduct a mock interview, and if you are lucky they will recommend you to their boss.
All of the other sources of internships come from previous connections that BCC students or staff (but mostly students) have built. You can be the one to add new companies and organizations to this list for the future! You can use your personal network, the internet, or simply knock on doors to secure an internship on your own. Above are some tips and tricks for this path.
