“Titanic Tree’s Cousin” celebrates the beautiful view overlooking the cliff with fall colored leaves everywhere. I wanted people to see the amazing view and the fall colors. Molly and I decided to use sticks because it brings out the tree and they fit well with the art piece. It’s fun working with a partner because it’s much easier to come up with ideas for the project. Working with someone else helps to make the art better.
“Titanic Tree's Cousin” is always looking over the Titanic Tree. Since there are lots of holes in the tree, we can almost half make it a whole tree by putting sticks in the openings. You have to make sure that the sticks are the exact right size so that they fit in between the openings in the tree. We used sticks because we thought it would look the coolest in the tree when you put them in between the openings in the tree. My partner and I made a sitting spot in the tree so you can sit in it and look from the inside of the tree at the artwork.
