“Painted rocks” celebrates the beautiful colors in the trees during fall. And it’s nice to look at because you can try to find the tree where the leaves came from. We’re using flat rocks, acrylic paint and gloss cover. We’re using gloss cover because it will give the rock a shine while protecting the paint. The unique quality that our piece brings is it’s bright shiny colors that connect with the leaves on the ground and in the trees. Plus the rocks are in between two very boring brown trees so the contrast will make it stand out on the trail even more.
I wanted people to see different trees and their leaves. I want to let others see the difference between trees. So I found rocks that could go on the trees somewhere. I painted the rocks to make them stand out. Then I found different types of trees and put the rocks on the trees.
