“The Teetering Towers Of Triumph” shows determination and creativity. What I hope is that the rock towers will be so perfectly balanced that people ask themselves, “Wow! How is that standing up?” or, “I wonder how long that took them to build”. What is tricky about building rock towers is that it takes a lot of patience and determination because you have to find the perfect rocks to put in a perfect place so it doesn’t fall over. Sometimes the wrong move will make the whole thing fall over. The joys of working with partners on this project is that you have other ideas to help you to see different perspectives. For example, if I thought we should put a certain rock in a certain place my partner might say “but if you put that there, it will make the tower want to lean to the right”. This is something I might have never thought of and then the tower could have fallen. It is very helpful to have partners. I would never be able to do it without them.
This piece of artwork celebrates the lovely flat ground and all smooth rocks. When people see these towers I want them to ask “Whoa! How did they do that?’’ or say, ‘’That’s amazing!” just little things that make me feel good about our work. If you were to look at my art piece the first thing you would notice is that it’s made of rocks. We decided to use rocks well because we wanted to make rock towers and as you could guess that takes rocks and also because rocks are very sturdy and will last a long time. While I and my team made these rock towers we really tested the limits of the rocks like how sturdy they are, how much weight they can hold- stuff that’s just plain out fun. And last but most certainly not least it was pretty hard to balance the rocks because they’re all different shapes and sizes. But then again it’s just plain out fun. But in the end, it’s going to look really cool, so it will be worth it.
