• The 2024 home finale for the Lady Pats was a total team effort as Massac Volleyball picked up a 2-set sweep against the visiting Redbirds.

• Kill leaders: Logann Miller (6), Kinley Logeman (5), Hannah Edwards (5), Lydia McCraw (4), Jordan Hansen (2), and Kaylee Jones (2).

• Dig leaders: Jones (16), Hallee Smallman (14), Logeman (10), Miller (7), Edwards (6), Natalie Evans (4), Alyssa Towery (3).

WIN- Anna-Jonesboro (25-23, 25-10)

• Massac County played "spoiler" on the Lady Wildcats senior night picking up a straight sets win in the final week of the regular season.

• Offensively, Kinley Logeman and Lydia McCraw combined for 20 kills.  Jordan Hansen, Logann Miller, and Kaylee Jones combined for 6 kills as well.

• Dig leaders for the Pats include Jones (16), Hallee Smallman (15), Miller (9), Natalie Evans (8), and Logeman (7).

• Alyssa Towery, Logeman, Miller, and Jones each recorded at least 2 aces in the match.

• Hannah Edwards tallied an assist percentage of 34% in the win.

WIN- Herrin (25-13, 25-18)

• Our Lady Patriots pushed their winning streak to 6 games with a home victory over the visiting Herrin Tigers.

• Kinley Logeman tallied 11 kills in the win.  Lydia McCraw and Logann Miller combined for 12 kills.

• Libero Hallee Smallman picked up a team-high 14 digs.  Kaylee Jones recorded 11 digs of her own.

• Hannah Edwards, Logeman, and Smallman each served at least 2 aces on the night.

• Edwards recorded an assist percentage of 42%!

WIN- Harrisburg (20-25, 25-22, 25-15)

• "A great team can find a way to win when nothing is going their way," Cliff Easter.  That kinda sums up Tuesday night.  Enduring a tough night and an excellent performance from the visiting Bulldogs.

• Kill leaders: Logeman (14), McCraw (6), Hansen (5), Miller (5), Edwards (3), and Jones (3)

• Dig leaders: Jones (20), Logeman (16), Smallman (15), Edwards (12), Miller (9), and Towery (3)

• Block leaders: McCraw (6), Hansen (3)

• Serving Points leaders: Edwards (11), Jones (9), Towery (7), and Miller (6)

• Assist leaders: Edwards (28%) and Smallman (22%)

WIN- Graves County, KY (16-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22)

• Playing out of state, and by the Kentucky High School regulations, our Lady Pats found themselves down 1 set in a best 3 out of 5 match with the host Eagles.  After a few defensive adjustments, Massac was able to come from behind to win the match 3 sets to 1.

• There were hitters aplenty for the Patriots with Kinley Logeman leading the way with a career-high 18 kills.  Lydia McCraw (9), Kaylee Jones (9), Logann Miller (6), and Hannah Edwards (5) also came up big in the win.

• Defensively, libero Hallee Smallman was leader in digs picking up 25.  Jones recorded 13 digs, Logeman recorded 12 digs, and Edwards tallied 11.

• Serving played a pivotal role in the match with Massac keeping Graves County uncomfortable all night.  Kinley Logeman finished the match with 9 total aces with 4 coming in the final set!

• After a frustrating first set, our blockers came alive as the match progressed.  Jordan Hansen (4), McCraw (4), and Miller (2) were team leaders in blocks.

• Massac's assist leader in the match was Hannah Edwards who recorded a career-high 37 assists while amassing an assist percentage of 37%.

WIN- Carterville (25-15, 23-25, 25-16)

• Massac was able to overcome a 2nd set "hiccup" by finishing off the visiting Lady Lions convincingly in set #3.

• Kinley Logeman and Kaylee Jones combined for 14 kills.  Lydia McCraw (4), Jordan Hansen (3), and Hannah Edwards (3) were also kill leaders for the Patriots.

• Dig leaders include Jones (14), Logeman (13), Smallman (11), and Logann Miller (8).

• Miller and Logeman served up 3 aces apiece with Edwards chipping in with 2 aces of her own.

• McCraw, Hansen, and Miller each recorded at least 2 blocks on the night.

• Edwards finished the match with an assist percentage of 25%.

WIN- Herrin (25-14, 25-22)

• On the road, our Lady Patriots stayed perfect in conference play picking up a 2-set win over the host Tigers.

• Offensive balance was on full display as McCraw, Hansen, Logeman, Jones, Miller, and Edwards each put down at least 3 kills.

• Defensively, Smallman and Logeman led the way with 11 digs apiece.  Jones picked up 10 digs and Edwards tallied 9 in the win.

• McCraw was tops in blocks recording 3 on the night.

• Edwards dished out an assist percentage of 36%!

  • Our Lady Patriots took a perfect 3-0 pool play record into the finals before falling to DuQuoin in the semi-final and Centralia in the 3rd/4th place match in two highly competitive games.

• Firing on ALL cylinders!  The Massac Volleyball machine was in full-force on the road vs the Bulldogs as the Patriots made the full sweep with freshman, JV, and varsity wins!

• Kinley Logeman and Logann Miller combined for 23 kills.  Jordan Hansen, Lydia McCraw, and Hannah Edwards each recorded at least 3 kills as well.

• Dig leaders include Hallee Smallman (14), Edwards (14), Logeman (9), and Kaylee Jones (9).

• McCraw led all Patriots with 3 block points.

• Hannah Edwards dished out an assist percentage of 45%!   

WIN- Murphysboro (26-24, 16-25, 25-20)

• Massac vs Murphy never disappoints to be an action-packed event... down to the wire!  But our Patriots were cool under pressure in the match's tightest moments to win their first conference match of 2024!

• Top Hitters: Lydia McCraw, Harley Durham, and Hannah Edwards each with a 25% hitting efficiency.  Kinley Logeman had an 11% hitting efficiency.

• Dig Leaders: Hallee Smallman (23), Logeman (21), Edwards (19), and Kaylee Jones (11).

• Block Leaders: Jordan Hansen (6), Lydia McCraw (5), and Logann Miller (4).

• Setter Stats: Edwards (19% assist), (79% setting)

WIN- Carbondale (25-18, 26-24)

• Massac County used a BIG blocking effort in the 2nd set to pick up 5 needed points fueling a 2-set sweep over the visiting Terriers.

• Offensive balance was crucial for Pats as Logeman, Hansen, McCraw, Miller, and Jones each recorded at least 3 kills.

• Kaylee Jones led all Patriots in digs picking up 13 in the win.  Hallee Smallman tallied 11 digs.

• Lydia McCraw was tops in blocks with 4.  

• Hannah Edwards recorded 20 assists to go with her 6 digs.

Loss- Edwards County (25-27, 16-25)

• This match-up lived up to the billing of two TOP 10 TEAMS in Southern Illinois.  Unfortunately Edwards County was able to "hold serve" on their home court earning the 2-set sweep over our Patriots.

• Kills: Logeman (8), Jones (4), Edwards (3), McCraw (3), Hansen (2), and Miller (2).

• Digs: Smallman (14), Miller (5), Jones (4), Edwards (4), and Towery (3).

• Blocks: Logeman (3), Hansen (2), and McCraw (1).

• Assists: Edwards (19), Miller (1), Smallman (1), and McCraw (1).

WIN- DuQuoin (22-25, 25-18, 25-21)

• As many would have expected, the match lived up to the hype with both Massac and DuQuoin playing a closely contested match every step of the way.  It was an instant classic 3-set thriller with our Lady Patriots playing their best volleyball at the end to clinch the victory!

• In set #2, Massac's Harley Durham stepped into the line-up to give her team a BIG lift offensively and defensively.  Durham played with "varsity poise" and finished the night with 3 kills and 3 digs.

• Also a defensive juggernaut for the Patriots was libero Hallee Smallman who recorded a career-high 36 digs!  Kinley Logeman recorded 14 digs of her own to go along with her 5 kills and 3 blocks.

• Hannah Edwards was tops in assists with 28.

• Logann Miller and Alyssa Towery combined for 6 aces in the match.

• Senior, Jordan Hansen, slammed down 3 kills in set #3 in the game's biggest moments while also recording 2 blocks.
