Despite having a very well executed game-plan, our Lady Pats just couldn't quite finish off either set and Carmi was able to lean on their hard-hitting front line to move on to the Sectional Championship on Thursday.

WIN- Game 2: DuQuoin (25-12, 22-25, 29-27)
The Regional Championship with DuQuoin was an "instant classic"! The 4th match-up this season between these two talented teams lived up to the hype! Our Lady Patriots fought off 3 match points to extend set #3 into "extra innings". With the score knotted at 27 apiece in the game's final moments it was Kinley Logeman serving the game's final point and Logann Miller finishing off the match with a championship clinching kill!

Seeking a bit of revenge from a tournament loss last Saturday at the Fairfield Invite, our Patriots were poised in the rematch with the Lady Rangers battling to a 2-set win.
Logann Miller led all Pats recording a career-high 11 kills. Lydia McCraw (6) and Kinley Logeman (5) were also strong offensively.
Defensively, Hallee Smallman (28), Logeman (20), Kaylee Jones (18), Hannah Edwards (15), and Natalie Evans (11) were dig leaders on the night.
Hannah Edwards dished out a team-high 23 assists. Smallman chipped in with 7 assists as well.
McCraw was the Massac County leader in blocks tallying 6 in the win.

Massac County played "spoiler" on the Lady Wildcats senior night picking up a straight sets win in the final week of the regular season.
Offensively, Kinley Logeman and Lydia McCraw combined for 20 kills. Jordan Hansen, Logann Miller, and Kaylee Jones combined for 6 kills as well.
Dig leaders for the Pats include Jones (16), Hallee Smallman (15), Miller (9), Natalie Evans (8), and Logeman (7).
Alyssa Towery, Logeman, Miller, and Jones each recorded at least 2 aces in the match.
Hannah Edwards tallied an assist percentage of 34% in the win.
WIN- Carterville (19-25, 25-14, 25-19)
For the 4th straight year, our Lady Pats are River-to-River Conference Champions! It would take a resilient effort on the part of the visiting Patriots after dropping set 1 to the Lions. But as the defense picked up, so too did the Massac County offense leading the way to an undefeated conference slate!
Kinley Logeman was a load slamming down 17 kills to lead all Patriots. Kaylee Jones and Logann Miller combined for 8 kills as well.
Defensively, it was Natalie Evans who sparked the Massac defense picking up a career-high 18 digs! Kaylee Jones (21 digs) and Hallee Smallman (12 digs) were also key defensively.
Hannah Edwards (3), Logeman (2), and Jones (2) were ace leaders for the Pats.
Lydia McCraw was tops in blocks rejecting 5 on the night.
Edwards recorded an assist percentage of 21%.

Our Lady Patriots pushed their winning streak to 6 games with a home victory over the visiting Herrin Tigers.
Kinley Logeman tallied 11 kills in the win. Lydia McCraw and Logann Miller combined for 12 kills.
Libero Hallee Smallman picked up a team-high 14 digs. Kaylee Jones recorded 11 digs of her own.
Hannah Edwards, Logeman, and Smallman each served at least 2 aces on the night.
Edwards recorded an assist percentage of 42%!

On the road at the always difficult "Devil's Den", Massac County flexed their collective muscles making a clean sweep of the Red Devils at all levels.
Kinley Logeman was too much to handle offensively mixing up her attacks throughout the match en route to a 15 kill performance. Lydia McCraw put down 6 kills of her own on 11 attacks.
Front row and back row, Logeman was tops for the Patriots picking up a team-high 18 digs. Hallee Smallman (14), Kaylee Jones (10), and Hannah Edwards (8) were also dig leaders for the Pats.
Serving leaders for Massac include Edwards and Alyssa Towery who scored 12 and 7 points respectively from the service line.
Top blockers in the match were McCraw (4), Jordan Hansen (3), and Logann Miller (2).
Hannah Edwards finished the match with an assist percentage of 32%.
WIN- Graves County, KY (16-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22)
Playing out of state, and by the Kentucky High School regulations, our Lady Pats found themselves down 1 set in a best 3 out of 5 match with the host Eagles. After a few defensive adjustments, Massac was able to come from behind to win the match 3 sets to 1.
There were hitters aplenty for the Patriots with Kinley Logeman leading the way with a career-high 18 kills. Lydia McCraw (9), Kaylee Jones (9), Logann Miller (6), and Hannah Edwards (5) also came up big in the win.
Defensively, libero Hallee Smallman was leader in digs picking up 25. Jones recorded 13 digs, Logeman recorded 12 digs, and Edwards tallied 11.
Serving played a pivotal role in the match with Massac keeping Graves County uncomfortable all night. Kinley Logeman finished the match with 9 total aces with 4 coming in the final set!
After a frustrating first set, our blockers came alive as the match progressed. Jordan Hansen (4), McCraw (4), and Miller (2) were team leaders in blocks.
Massac's assist leader in the match was Hannah Edwards who recorded a career-high 37 assists while amassing an assist percentage of 37%.
WIN- Carterville (25-15, 23-25, 25-16)
Massac was able to overcome a 2nd set "hiccup" by finishing off the visiting Lady Lions convincingly in set #3.
Kinley Logeman and Kaylee Jones combined for 14 kills. Lydia McCraw (4), Jordan Hansen (3), and Hannah Edwards (3) were also kill leaders for the Patriots.
Dig leaders include Jones (14), Logeman (13), Smallman (11), and Logann Miller (8).
Miller and Logeman served up 3 aces apiece with Edwards chipping in with 2 aces of her own.
McCraw, Hansen, and Miller each recorded at least 2 blocks on the night.

Offensive balance was on full display as McCraw, Hansen, Logeman, Jones, Miller, and Edwards each put down at least 3 kills.
Defensively, Smallman and Logeman led the way with 11 digs apiece. Jones picked up 10 digs and Edwards tallied 9 in the win.
McCraw was tops in blocks recording 3 on the night.

Our Lady Patriots took a perfect 3-0 pool play record into the finals before falling to DuQuoin in the semi-final and Centralia in the 3rd/4th place match in two highly competitive games.

Trailing 11-19 against DuQuoin in their final match of pool play, our Lady Patriots orchestrated an epic come-from-behind win to stay perfect at 3-0 in the tournament. Massac was rewarded with back-to-back-to-back games against rested Nashville and Pinckneyville squads.

As many would have expected, the match lived up to the hype with both Massac and DuQuoin playing a closely contested match every step of the way. It was an instant classic 3-set thriller with our Lady Patriots playing their best volleyball at the end to clinch the victory!
In set #2, Massac's Harley Durham stepped into the line-up to give her team a BIG lift offensively and defensively. Durham played with "varsity poise" and finished the night with 3 kills and 3 digs.
Also a defensive juggernaut for the Patriots was libero Hallee Smallman who recorded a career-high 36 digs! Kinley Logeman recorded 14 digs of her own to go along with her 5 kills and 3 blocks.
Hannah Edwards was tops in assists with 28.
Logann Miller and Alyssa Towery combined for 6 aces in the match.
Senior, Jordan Hansen, slammed down 3 kills in set #3 in the game's biggest moments while also recording 2 blocks.

In the Lady Patriot's home opener, Massac County used a steady barrage of tough serving to keep the visiting Lady Wildcats off balance and out of system.
