A packed house... a perfect Massac vs Murphy environment... and a top-notch Lady Patriot's performance fueled the school's 7th Regional Championship trophy as Massac County advances to next week's Sectional tournament at Pinckneyville High School.
Brooklynn Burnett turned in a dominating performance in the win recording 9 kills and 5 block points.
Abigail Martin also had a tremendous night finishing 15 / 15 from the service line with 12 points to go with 11 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces, and 3 blocks.
Adalyn Gower and Laken Vickers combined for 11 kills.
Libby Conkle was tops in digs with 21. Gower picked up 15 digs of her own.

Defensively, Libby Conkle was leader in digs picking up 18 in the win. Adalyn Gower also had 12 digs as well.

The Massac County Lady Patriots claimed the title of UNDEFEATED regular season conference champions on Tuesday night as they defeated the visiting Lady Lions. This is the 2nd year in a row Massac has gone undefeated in the River-to-River Ohio Division.
The Lady Patriot JV team also finished their 2023 conference schedule with an unblemished record of 8-0 and have improved their overall season record to 14-0.

On a "Pink Out" night in front of a packed out gym, our Lady Patriots played a complete match defeating the host Tigers. With the win, Massac County earned the title of outright River-to-River conference champions for the 2023 season! This is the 3rd consecutive conference title for the Lady Patriots!
Adalyn Gower and Laken Vickers each recorded 6 kills in the win. Kinley Logemen chipped in 4 kills of her own. Brooklynn Burnett, Lydia McCraw, and Hannah Edwards each recorded 2 kills as well.

Keeping their conference record unblemished on the year, Massac County rolled to a 2-set win over the Lady Bulldogs of Harrisburg.
Senior Abigail Martin was the serving leader in the match serving a perfect 19/19 with 17 points and 4 aces. Adalyn Gower recorded an additional 3 aces.
Alyssa Towery was also perfect from the service line with a 9/9 night which included 8 points.
Kill leaders include Laken Vickers (9), Brooklynn Burnett (8), and Gower (6). Burnett was also tops in blocks tallying 4 points in the match.
Hannah Edwards and Hallee Smallman combined to pick up 17 total digs. Edwards also led the team with 17 assists.

Monday night featured a cross-state rivalry match between our Lady Patriots and the Graves County Lady Eagles. Massac County left little doubt en route to a 2-set sweep... at all levels.
Adalyn Gower, Laken Vickers, Brooklynn Burnett, and Kinley Logeman each recorded at least 6 kills in the win.
Senior libero, Libby Conkle was tops in digs with 13. Gower picked up an additional 8 digs of her own... to go along with her 4 service aces.
Abigail Martin, Burnett, and Vickers each scored a block point.
Hannah Edwards was team-leader in assists tallying 22 in the win.

In the rubber match of the Massac vs Murphy season series... our Lady Patriots came out victorious storming back from a 17-21 deficit in set 2 to earn the sweep!

Our Lady Pats continued their winning ways pushing their current win streak to double digs as they took care of business on the road at Carterville.
High efficient hitters were key as Laken Vickers (7 kills), Adalyn Gower (6 kills), and Kinley Logeman (4 kills) scored their points with a COMBINED 3 hitting errors.
Defensively, Libby Conkle and Adalyn Gower combined for 24 digs.
Gower was tops in aces serving up 6 in the match.

Offensive balance was on display for the Pats with Adalyn Gower, Laken Vickers, Kinley Logeman, and Brooklynn Burnett each recording at least 7 kills.
Libero Libby Conkle picked up a team-high 29 digs to go with her team-high 19 service points.
Hannah Edwards was the assist leader with 30.

It was a back-and-forth battle all night long for the Lady Patriot season opener with Massac remaining as cool as the other side of the pillow to pick up the 2-set sweep on the road.
Senior middle hitter Brooklynn Burnett owned the net in both sets finishing with 8 kills and 2 stuff blocks. Adalyn Gower led all Massac players recording 11 kills of her own.
Hannah Edwards finished with 18 assists and Libby Conkle picked up a team-high 18 digs.
