Massac County Volleyball- 2008

1. Regional Champions (1^st in school history)

• a. Defeated Vienna
• b. Defeated #1 ranked Harrisburg
• c. Defeated Anna-Jonesboro in the Championship match 25-12, 20-25, 25-17

2. Defeated the #1 team in Southern Illinois West Frankfort who is now 27-3

• a. (Murphysboro and Newton were the only other losses)

3. Defeated conference teams: West Frankfort, Herrin, Harrisburg 2x

4. Down 14-24 in the second set against Anna-Jonesboro, the girls came back and won 29-27.

5. 2^nd place at the Massac Superman Slam

6. 3^rd place at the Caldwell County Slamfest

7. 2-1 Record at the Conference Tournament (tied for 5^th place)

8. Lost to Fort Campbell, West Frankfort, Harrisburg, and Herrin early in the year and beat them later in the season.

9. Finished season winning 7 of last 9 games.

10. Accomplished ALL Team Goals set at the beginning of the season:

• 1) Play together as a team.
• 2) Win a conference game- defeated W. Frankfort, Herrin, Harrisburg 2x
• 3) Win a tournament- won the regional tournament.
• 4) Have a winning record- Last year 19 losses, this year 19 wins.
