WIN- Marion

• In the season opener, the Lady Pats rebounded after dropping the middle frame to the host Wildcats winning 25-23, 18-25, 25-13.
• Defensively, Brooke Stepter picked up a career high 25 digs and was 22/24 on serve receive.
• Senior Jessica Hunt threw down a team-high 12 kills while also picking up 18 digs.
• Protecting the net was Emily Griffith who led her team in blocks with 5 blocks and 3 block points.
• Bailey Cissell also recorded 6 kills on 17 attacks.

WIN- Crab Orchard

• The 2016 home opener found the Lady Patriots clicking on all cylinders sweeping the Trojans of Crab Orchard 25-14, 25-10.
• Junior setter Ellie Weber tallied a game-high 11 assists and 10 service points.
• The recipient of many of her assists was outside hitter Aubrey Biggers who recorded 9 kills on 17 attacks.
• Libero Summer Smallman picked up a game-high 13 digs while also serving up 8 service points.
• Becca Jackson also had 3 kills and 2 blocks in the winning effort.

• Setters Mollie Fisher and Ellie Weber combined for 23 assists and an assist ratio of 38%.
• Mollie Fisher also served out a team-high 14 service points.

• Offensively, Bailey Cissell led all hitters slamming down 8 kills on only 11 attacks.
• Setters Mollie Fisher and Ellie Weber combined for 25 assists and an assist ratio of 42%.
• Serving tough was Aubrey Biggers and Taylor Stoner who combined for 12 service points.
• Emily Griffith also recorded 4 kills on 4 attacks.

WIN- Carterville

• In a cross-conference battle, the Lady Patriots swept the Lady Lions in straight sets winning 25-15, 25-22.
• In the match, Summer Smallman and Brooke Stepter combined for 21 digs and 14 service points.
• Defensively, Emily Griffith and Becca Jackson combined for 11 blocks.
• Offensively, Jessica, Aubrey, Chelsea, Bailey, Becca, and Emily each contributed at least 2 kills.
• Mollie Fisher and Ellie Weber combined for 9 service points and 13 assists.

LOSS- Murphysboro

• The Lady Pats suffered a tough, tightly contested 3-set loss to the Lady Red Devils falling 19-25, 25-23, 26-28.
• Jessica Hunt's defense was solid all night as she picked up a team-high 29 digs.
• Summer Smallman and Brooke Stepter combined for 42 digs as well.
• Ellie Weber tossed out 22 assists.
• Becca Jackson recorded 7 blocks in the match.

WIN- Harrisburg

• Bouncing back from Tuesday's loss, the Lady Pats were able to return home from the Harrisburg with a 25-19, 25-15 win.
• Senior outside hitter Chelsea Duncan was too much to handle connecting on 6 kills of her 8 attacks.
• Becca Jackson chipped in with 5 kills and 3 blocks.
• Defensively, Summer Smallman, Aubrey Biggers, Jessica Hunt, Bailey Cissell, and Ellie Weber recorded at least 9 digs.
• Summer also served up a game-high 13 service points.

• The Lady Patriot squad seemed to get better as the day went on sweeping the competition in straight sets to win the 18th annual Superman Slam.

• Mollie Fisher's setting performance helped to stabilize the offense recording assists on 17 of her 28 sets.
• Aubrey Biggers led in kills with 12 and only 2 hitting errors.
• Summer Smallman notched 7 service points, 3 aces, and a team-high 28 digs.
• Jessica Hunt and Brooke Stepter combined for 33 digs as well.

WIN- Benton

• Massac County made quick work of the visiting Benton Rangerettes 25-12, 25-12 to continue their winning ways.
• Aubrey Biggers led her team in kills putting 10 to the floor.
• Ellie Weber dished out a team-high 15 assists and 9 service points.
• Chelsea Duncan recorded 5 kills on 7 attacks.
• Summer Smallman picked up 14 digs.

WIN- Ballard Memorial

• In a cross-state rivalry match with the visiting Lady Bombers, our Lady Pats swept the varsity match winning 25-14, 25-17.
• Jessica Hunt and Aubrey Biggers led the offensive attack combining for 14 kills.
• Ellie Weber and Mollie Fisher combined for 20 assists and three aces.
• Becca Jackson and Emily Griffith dominated the net combining for 7 blocks and 19 touches.
• Summer Smallman and Brooke Stepter led the defensive effort combining for 23 digs and a perfect 9/9 on serve receive.
• Bailey Cissell and Chelsea Duncan combined for 8 kills and 6 digs.

LOSS- Murphysboro

• In the much anticipated rematch of conference title contenders, the Lady Pats came up a bit short on the road losing 25-27, 11-25.
• Bailey Cissell was tremendous on the night recording 8 kills and 7 digs.
• Summer Smallman tallied 9 service points, 3 aces, and 17 digs.
• Ellie Weber tossed out a team-high 13 assists.
• Jessica Hunt also chipped in with 13 digs.

WIN- Harrisburg

• On senior night, the Lady Patriots were firing on all cylinders as they defeated the Lady Bulldogs 25-22, 25-22.
• Chelsea Duncan and Bailey Cissell combined for 11 kills on the night.
• Ellie Weber recorded a team-high 13 assists.
• Taylor Stoner served up 5 service points and also picked up 3 digs.
• Mollie Fisher tallied 7 service points while also recording 6 assists.

WIN- Benton

• On Benton's senior night and in front of a very excited Rangerette crowd, our Lady Patriots handled the nerves winning 25-12, 20-25, 25-20.
• Bailey Cissell and Aubrey Biggers combined for 17 kills and 13 digs.
• Ellie Weber dished out a team-high 20 assists to go with 13 service points and 4 aces.
• Jessie Lewis came off the bench to help her team with 4 blocks and 1 kill in the 3rd set alone.
• Likewise, Caroline Thompson was clutch in the 2nd and 3rd set with 6 digs and a perfect 10/10 passing.

WIN- West Frankfort

• The Lady Patriots wrapped up their 2016 conference schedule by sweeping the Redbirds 25-19, 25-23.
• Ellie Weber had game-highs in service points (11) and assists (13).
• Aubrey Biggers was the beneficiary of many of those assists as she threw down 10 kills.
• Jessica Hunt and Summer Smallman combined for 20 digs.
• Chelsea Duncan had 5 kills on 16 attacks.

WIN- Anna Jonesboro

• Facing off against the regular season River-to-River conference Mississippi division champion Lady Wildcats, our Lady Pats overcame a boisterous crowd and the emotions of Anna's senior night to win in a three-set thriller 24-26, 25-16, 25-16.
• Ellie Weber had a career high in assists with 28 in the match and an assist percentage of 45%.
• Aubrey Biggers and Jessica Hunt combined for 24 kills and 34 digs.
• Chelsea Duncan and Bailey Cissell combined for 12 kills.
• Summer Smallman had a team-high 23 digs and 11 service points.
• In the middle, Becca Jackson totaled 4 block points to go with 4 kills.

• Ellie Weber tossed out a game-high 17 assists.
• Protecting the net were Becca Jackson and Jessie Lewis who combined for 6 block points.

WIN- Anna-Jonesboro (Regional Championship)

• Massac County kept things interesting in the first set but thoroughly poured on the heat in the 2nd set winning the Regional Championship 25-21, 25-9.
• Ellie Weber totaled 20 assists and 10 service points in the match.
• Aubrey Biggers had 11 kills and 3 digs.
• Jessica Hunt led in digs with 18 on the night. Summer Smallman was close behind with 15 digs.
• Bailey Cissell and Jessica Hunt combined for 12 kills.
• Brooke Stepter picked up 9 digs and was 8 / 8 on serve receive.
• Mollie Fisher tossed out 7 assists to go with 6 service points.

LOSS- Columbia (Sectional Semi-final)

• In a rather one-sided match, Massac County was unable to match Columbia's high powered and fast-paced offense losing 10-25, 12-25.
• Offensively, Bailey Cissell led the Lady Patriot attack with 5 kills. Jessica Hunt and Aubrey Biggers each contributed 2 kills.
• Summer Smallman picked up a team-high 7 digs and was a perfect 8 / 8 on serve receive.
• Becca Jackson had two block points in the match.
• Ellie Weber tossed out 6 assists and Mollie Fisher totaled 3 assists.
