Welcome to the Official MRHS Dance Team Page!

We are always looking for new dancers to join our team! A few things you should know if you are considering auditioning for our award winning dance team-

• Game Day Team!

  • Auditions for our Game Day Team are held at the end of the year in spring for the next basketball season. (2022/2023 auditions have already been held)

  • In the winter season Game Day dancers preform at Basketball games!

  • Game day practices in the winter season are once a week December- March to prepare for basketball games.

  • Participation on Game Day Team is mandatory to be considered for our competitive team.

*Dancers are welcome to participate on the Game Day Team and opt-out of Competition*

• Competition Team!

  • Our Competition Team is picked from the existing game day team. NO separate auditions are held.

  • We compete a jazz routine and a hip-hop routine at 2-3 competitions over the winter season. Competitions are one day long and held on weekends.

  • All dancers from the game day team are welcome on competition team. However, some will be in only one routine and some will be alternates.

  • Competition dancers will practice 2-3 times a week December-March. Commitment to the team is very important!

Competitions Team Requirements (Winter Team):

LYRICAL/JAZZ: Multiple Turns in Second, Triple/Quad Pirouettes, Strong quality of movement.

Hip-Hop: Kip Up, Headspring, Confidence and Showmanship.
