5Cedar   Learning Update

Central idea: The appreciation of art forms can be determined by the individual.

We have started off inquiry one looking into different artforms. In Art we have been revisiting shading techniques, paying particular attention to light and texture and improving on our technique. In PE we have started dance and have been exploring ways to express ourselves through this artform. 

In Maths we have dived into fractions and the children have worked really hard at understanding improper fractions, mixed numbers and a range of approaches to tackle mathematical challenges. Very impressed with all their hard work! 

We have started our core text 'The Last Wild' by Piers Torday which has inspired our writing this week in researching and writing an information text about an animal. 

This module year 5 have the opportunity of outdoor learning on Friday which they are loving. Please remember outdoor clothes.
