This week we have delved into our first line of inquiry: An inquiry into types of artforms. The children have participated in a dance workshop, listened, appreciated and moved to different music and explored a Kandinsky painting using the colour wheel. They have thoroughly enjoyed this week and are beginning to form a balanced argument based on whether one artform is more important than the other.

In Maths we have been looking at adding and subtracting 10, while developing mathematical language and challenging the children to problem solve and reason.

During Science the children have started looking at everyday materials and their properties. The children were sent on a hunt to find certain things in the school. They had to decide on the material and think about why a particular object was made from a specific material.
