Juniper  Learning Update

Our likes and dislikes make us who we are. 

We have spent time thinking about how to care for animals. The children suggested that we should: 

• Feed them and make sure they have water 

• Make sure they have enough space to explore 

• Keep them clean 

• Give them love and care to keep their hearts happy 

It became apparent that not all animals need the same care. Lavina said 'you don't have to take guinea pigs for walks'. We know that lots of animals need food, so we decided to learn how to bake our own dog treats! The children got to work mashing, mixing, squeezing, rolling and cutting the ingredients to create tasty dog biscuits. 

Our petting zoo experience with WildScience allowed the children to hold and take care of different animals including a: 

• Snake

• Leopard gecko

• Bearded dragon

• Guinea pig

• Giant millipede 

Miss Williams and I were so proud of the children's bravery, care and kindness while handling the animals.
