Our Learning

Our inquiry has allowed us to delve deeper into the rainforest, understanding how this natural, biodiverse habitat is under threat and why it is so important for us to safeguard it. We have used this as our inspiration for multiple pieces of written work as well as artwork, creating pieces in the style of Henri Rousseau. 

We have enjoyed reading The Last Bear by Hannah Gold, continuing to learn more about the main character, April, and her difficult yet evolving relationship with her father as well as her developing relationship with Bear.

Our maths focus has been algebra and angles, using our knowledge to apply algebra to missing number problems and shape problems that require finding a missing, unknown value.

In science, we have continued to study electricity, designing circuits that can be used to create a form of burglar alarm.
