1Spruce Learning Update

Central idea: The weather can affect how people live

We are continuing our amazing learning experience this term.  We have developed into our second line of inquiry 'An inquiry into the different climates' and heading towards the final inquiry of 'An inquiry into how the climate impacts the way people live.' The children have enjoyed sharing their skills and knowledge in making a winter soup, how best to recycle materials to slow the speed of climate change and writing a diary entry on the impact of rain in a hot climate. They loved their drama activity when they pretended to interview Sir David Attenborough.

Spruce class have been excellent in being open-minded and great thinkers in challenging their thoughts and ideas on how best we can help the environment.

In Maths we have begun adding and subtracting - the children have been amazing at exploring different approaches to work out the answer and explain how they got the answer.

We are very proud of Spruce class - keep going with the hard work!

Please remember our celebration of work this term is on Wednesday 8th February at 2.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
