5Aspen Learning Update

Central idea: Technology constantly evolves to progress human societies.

This week, we have been considering the future and how our world may look if technology continues to evolve. We started by focusing on Marden, and predicting how the village may change within the next 50-100 years. Predictions varied from the village doubling in size, to the loss of our green spaces, to parts of the village flooding year on year due to global warming. We then created our own poetry thinking of a future world and what we may see: flying cars, food in capsules and robots doing all our tasks. All our poems considered what our ever-changing technology may bring.

In maths, we have been learning how to multiply fractions, deepening our understanding by considering how we can prove our answers using bar models and/or repeated additions.
